Till today there are many examples of the Dutch life. Among them are the half timbered houses with columns. Another is - love for the rich land here. The people who were forced to settle here after the II World War - grew to love this rich black soil. It pays them back with good harvests…

The Lowlands…

Mysterious, magic and misty land - Land for Strangers, as the Mennonites in the 16th century were called here.

 

Now, there are no more Mennonites here, but their descendants come very often to see the places where their great-grand…fathers were born and lived.
